Youth and inexperience would characterize this year’s Varsity Wrestling
Team. However, that did not hamper the individual success of many on the
wrestling team. Eric Minnick (125 lbs) and Ricky Brooman (112 lbs) both
had outstanding seasons. Ricky was All Inter-Ac and a PA Prep State Finalist
as a sophomore with over 65 career wins. Eric, who surpassed the 100 win
mark this year as a junior in mid-season, was one of the first EA wrestlers
to achieve this accomplishment this early in his varsity career. Eric was
also a PA Prep State Finalist. Complimenting the varsity wrestling team
in the PA Prep State tournament were Zach Morse (189 lbs) sixth place, Charles
Alexander (140 lbs) eighth place, and Glenn Gallagher (103 lbs) with an
eighth place finish. Thankfully, all varsity letter winners will return
for the ’04-05 season.
